• Shnat Sherut is a year-long volunteer program that includes volunteering in Israel’s social and geographic periphery as part of the Israel Scouts movement.

• Participants live independently in a mixed communal apartment (Komuna) with both Israelis and participants from abroad. They manage themselves within a set budget, cook their own meals, and build their own weekly schedules.

• The Shinshinim have a variety of volunteer opportunities in each of the different Garinei Hagshama (volunteer groups) paths. They work with diverse populations, including at-risk children and youth, people with special needs, minority communities, and more.

• Throughout the year, Shnat Sherut participants take part in workshops, seminars, trips, and professional enrichment activities.
