• תכנית גרעין צבר קיימת משנת 1991 ומטרתה להיות מערכת התמיכה המיטבית לחיילים בודדים באמצעות ליווי והכוונה ובניית הגרעין כקבוצה.

• חניכי התוכנית הם צעירים יהודים מרחבי העולם בני 18-24 (נשים עד גיל 23) אשר בוחרים לעשות עלייה ולשרת שירות מלא ומשמעותי בצה"ל כחיילים בודדים.

• חברי הגרעין נקלטים ביישובים שונים ברחבי הארץ המאמצים אותם ומהווים עבורם בית חם ותומך מרגע הגעתם לארץ, במהלך שירותם הצבאי ועד לשחרורם מצה"ל ואף לאחר מכן.

• התוכנית מלווה מדי שנה, כ- 250 חניכים במעבר מצפון אמריקה לישראל ובמהלך הגיוס לצבא. כשליש מהם הם חניכי הצופים.

• Garin Tzabar has been operating since 1991 and aims to provide comprehensive support for lone soldiers through guidance, mentorship, and building the group as a cohesive community.

• Program participants are young Jewish adults from around the world, ages 18–24 (females up to age 23), who choose to make Aliyah and serve in the IDF in full and meaningful military service as lone soldiers.

• Members of each Garin are welcomed into communities throughout Israel that adopt them and provide a warm, supportive home from the moment they arrive in Israel, throughout their military service, through their release from the IDF, and beyond.

• Each year, the program supports approximately 250 participants as they transition from North America to Israel and through the process of enlisting in the military. Approximately one-third of them are Israel Scouts participants.
